Day 4 – Renmark to Port Augusta

Going on this ride, I realised how much I have taken my country forgranted. it is truly stunning!!

Over the last few days of riding we have experienced everything from wheat and canola fields, national parks, flat open plains, mountainous regions, vineyards, rivers, pastural land, fruit orchards, cattle and sheep farms, and wide open fertile green pastures. And today was no exception. We left Renmark, which in my opinion is one of the most wonderful towns for the fact that its right on the Murray river. And we headed off off to the little town of Waikery for some breakfast.

After that we went to Burra, where the Ulysees boys were there to greet us with a wonderful BBQ lunch. Too bad for the rain all the way there, but regardless, it was some of the most stunning country I had seen yet. Until we went from Burra to Crystal Brook. It was incredible. We rode by a wind farm and a scene that can only be described as riding through the Windows XP Desktop!!!

Our last stop was Port Augusta, where me met with Steve Andrews and the Perth Black Dog Ride crew for a wonderful BBQ dinner given to us by the local Lions Club. Another great day!!
